Last Updated: May 2026

This Shipping and Delivery Policy forms part of the ZUUP Terms and Conditions and applies to all products and services offered through the ZUUP platform, including food delivery, grocery delivery, pharmacy orders, retail purchases, parcel delivery, courier services, and any other physical goods or delivery-based services made available from time to time.

By placing an order through ZUUP, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy.

1. PLATFORM ROLE

ZUUP is a technology platform owned and operated by KAWIWI International Limited ("KAWIWI," "we," "us," or "our"). ZUUP connects users with independent third-party vendors, restaurants, pharmacies, retailers, riders, drivers, and couriers.

KAWIWI does not manufacture products, prepare food, dispense medication, or directly operate all delivery services. Shipping and delivery are carried out by independent third parties, and actual performance may vary.

2. PLACING ORDERS

Users may place orders for:

  • Food and restaurant meals
  • Groceries and household items
  • Pharmacy and medical products
  • Retail goods
  • Parcel and courier services
  • Car rental bookings
  • Other products and services introduced by ZUUP

All orders are subject to:

  • Product availability
  • Vendor acceptance
  • Payment verification
  • Operational feasibility
  • Compliance checks

KAWIWI reserves the right to reject, delay, or cancel any order at its sole discretion.

3. PAYMENT METHODS

Available payment methods may include:

  • Cash on Delivery (COD)
  • Mobile Money
  • Debit and Credit Cards
  • Wallet Credits
  • Other digital payment methods added from time to time

Payment processing may be handled by independent third-party payment providers. KAWIWI is not responsible for banking errors, payment failures, delays, or unauthorized transactions caused by external providers.

4. CASH ON DELIVERY (COD) POLICY

When you select Cash on Delivery:

  • You enter into a legally binding obligation to pay the full order amount upon delivery.
  • You agree to be available at the designated delivery location.
  • You authorize KAWIWI to recover delivery, return, and administrative costs if you fail to accept or pay for the order.

If you place false, fake, speculative, or ignored orders, KAWIWI may:

  • Charge the outbound and return delivery fees
  • Recover direct and indirect losses
  • Suspend or permanently terminate your account
  • Refer the debt for collection
  • Institute legal proceedings

5. DELIVERY AREAS

Delivery services are available only in selected locations and subject to operational coverage, rider availability, weather, road conditions, and safety considerations.

KAWIWI may expand, reduce, or suspend delivery coverage at any time without notice.

6. DELIVERY TIMELINES

Estimated delivery times are provided for convenience only and are not guaranteed.

Delivery times may be affected by:

  • Traffic congestion
  • Weather conditions
  • Vendor preparation times
  • Rider availability
  • Security restrictions
  • Public holidays
  • Technical failures

Time estimates do not create contractual obligations, and delays do not automatically entitle users to refunds or compensation.

7. DELIVERY CONFIRMATION

Delivery may be confirmed by any of the following:

  • User confirmation within the app
  • One-time password (OTP)
  • Digital signature
  • Photograph
  • GPS verification
  • Rider confirmation
  • Telephone confirmation

Any such confirmation constitutes conclusive evidence that delivery was completed unless proven otherwise.

8. FAILED DELIVERIES

An order may be marked as a failed delivery if:

  • The customer cannot be reached
  • The address is incorrect or incomplete
  • The customer refuses to accept the order
  • Payment is not made
  • Access to the location is restricted
  • Delivery would be unsafe

In such cases, the user remains responsible for all applicable charges, including:

  • Delivery fees
  • Return fees
  • Waiting charges
  • Product preparation costs
  • Administrative costs

9. INSPECTION UPON DELIVERY

Users are responsible for inspecting items immediately upon receipt and reporting visible issues within the applicable return window.

Failure to report issues promptly may constitute acceptance of the goods as delivered.

10. TITLE AND RISK OF LOSS

Risk of loss and responsibility for the goods pass to the user upon delivery confirmation, handover to the designated recipient, or placement at the agreed delivery location.

11. PHARMACY DELIVERIES

Users are solely responsible for:

  • Providing accurate prescription information
  • Ensuring the recipient is authorized to receive the medication
  • Reviewing dosage and usage instructions

KAWIWI does not provide medical advice and is not responsible for misuse, adverse reactions, or prescription errors.

12. FOOD SAFETY AND PERISHABLE ITEMS

Perishable and prepared food items should be consumed promptly and stored appropriately.

KAWIWI is not liable for deterioration, spoilage, or contamination after delivery.

13. UNATTENDED DELIVERIES

Where the user authorizes an item to be left unattended, delivery is deemed completed once the item is placed at the specified location. All risk thereafter rests with the user.

14. PROHIBITED ITEMS

Users may not use ZUUP to ship illegal, hazardous, counterfeit, or prohibited items. KAWIWI may refuse, inspect, dispose of, or report suspicious shipments to authorities.

15. FORCE MAJEURE

KAWIWI shall not be liable for delivery failures or delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including:

  • Weather
  • Floods
  • Power outages
  • Internet failures
  • Strikes
  • Civil unrest
  • Government actions
  • Pandemics

16. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Delivery services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
  • KAWIWI makes no guarantee that deliveries will occur within estimated times.
  • KAWIWI shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • KAWIWI's total liability relating to shipping or delivery shall not exceed the service fees paid by the user to KAWIWI in the thirty (30) days preceding the claim.
  • If no fees were paid, KAWIWI's liability shall be zero to the maximum extent permitted by law.

17. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

KAWIWI may amend this Shipping and Delivery Policy at any time by posting an updated version on the platform. Continued use of ZUUP constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

18. GOVERNING LAW

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia and shall be interpreted together with the ZUUP Terms and Conditions.
